Experimental Study on the Use of Ocular Adhesive

Abstract
In this experiment using rabbits, the characteristic property of adhesive agent in vivo could be applied to prevent the postoperative adhesion between tissues.
The results obtained were as follows:
1. When the adhesive agent is applied to the scleral surface, the adhesion of the sclera to the extraocular muscle or conjunctiva can be avoided.
2. In the palpebral skin or outer canthus, the use of adhesive agent in order to prevent the wound from adhersing to the tissues is inadequate.
In other words, the use of adhesive in the tissues with abundant blood vessels, motility or exposed to the air is inadequate or unstable in the prevention of adhesion.
Accordingly, the author believes that the adhesive agent can be used in some limited tissues of human body in order to prevent the postoperative adhesion of the tissues.
